The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
During this partial government shutdown, the 10th Medical Group will continue to honor scheduled medical and dental appointments. Our patient appointing service is open and we are still taking requests for appointments. We are doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care. The clinic’s Operating Room, Primary Care and Specialty Care services are fully operational. Ancillary services (pharmacy, laboratory, radiology) also remain operational. Children’s Hospital Colorado to remain in-network provider

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — Children's Hospital Colorado will remain an in-network, participating TRICARE provider under the new T-5 contract with TriWest Healthcare Alliance.

The U.S. Air Force Academy’s 10th Medical Group bucked the competition to take home first place at the 2023 Medic Rodeo competition at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. Aug. 21-25. The four-person 10th MDG team saddled up to compete against 17 teams from across the Air Force to determine which medical team was best prepared to provide medical care in a combat environment.
