The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The 10th Medical Group will continue to honor scheduled appointments during the government shutdown. Our patient appointing service will be open and will still take requests for appointments. We are doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care. The clinic’s Operating Room, Primary Care and Specialty Care services will remain fully operational. Ancillary services (pharmacy, laboratory, radiology) will also remain operational. As always, safe and high-quality healthcare remain our priority. Please call (719) 526-CARE (2273) to schedule or cancel appointments.

10th Medical Group Volunteer Program

The 10th Medical Group is looking for volunteers!

Who:

Licensed health care professionals or any DoD/VIC ID card holders with an interest.

What:

Support the mission of the 10th Medical Group (MDG) by using your skills and time to ensure high quality health care for the most deserving beneficiaries.

When:

Don’t delay, start the process today – some positions that require a government ID card for IT system access may require more time commitment due to investment of that process.

Where:

We have nearly two dozen clinic options for volunteer participation as well as an information front desk. To see what services are provided and where you might be able to volunteer, visit the Health Services section of this website for a listing of clinics/locations.

Don't forget to keep your family's information up to date in DEERS!
