Pediatric
We provide scheduled acute, chronic, and preventive medical care for patients ages newborn to 17. For throat cultures, patients will be screened and cultured, if necessary, and notified if positive. They may not see a provider.
Update COVID-19 message to patients: For papers and forms, please use your Secure Messaging account to contact us. If you need assistance with establishing your account, please call the access to care line, option 1 and tell the agent that you would like assistance with establishing the secure messaging connection to your PCM. Currently seeing well-child physicals for the following ages: 0-12mo, 18mo, 24mo, 4-5yo, and 11yo; all other appointment requests will be determined by the provider-in-clinic. If a child has cough, shortness of breath, fevered within the past 24 hours, or is taking any medications to reduce fevers, they will be seen in the Temporary Facilities (Family Health Clinic). Please call the appointment line to schedule appointments. Chaperones and patients must wear a mask upon entrance to the clinic. To minimize possible exposure, no more than one chaperone may accompany the patient. Please ensure that the accompanying adult chaperone also meets the above fever criteria. Exclusions to this criteria will be determined by clinic staffing.
COVID-19 testing requests: In keeping with the most up to date Center for Disease Control’s guidelines, USAFA does not test patients coming off of quarantine nor isolation. Patients will not be referred for a test unless they are experiencing symptoms consistent with the virus. If the patient is symptomatic and has been in contact with a positive confirmed COVID-19 case, the walk-in Central Screening and Testing Center is available at Evans Army Community Hospital during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
School and Sports Physicals: The 10th Medical Group is not be able to accommodate face to face school and sports physicals at this time. School and sports physicals are not covered benefits under the TRICARE program unless required for enrollment. The state of Colorado does not require them for enrollment, however participation in most sports does require completion of a physical examination. If the patient has been seen within the last year and has not been diagnosed with potentially limiting conditions, we are able to accommodate by completing the forms without an appointment. In this case, please send in the forms via secure messaging or drop the forms off at our clinic front desk. School and sports physicals which are not required for enrollment are offered at all UC Health Urgent Care Centers at a point of service cost of $30. Those services are by schedule only at the following number of locations in the community.
